Coyne-McCoy and Langevin Tied in Fundraising (posted April 17, 2000)
Campaign finance reports through March 31 show that in the second congressional district race, Kate Coyne-McCoy has raised nearly as much as Secretary of State James Langevin in the Democratic primary. For the first three months of this year, Coyne-McCoy raised $102,461 and has an overall campaign balance of $329,000. Langevin raised $103,467 in the same period and has put another $100,000 of his own money into the race. Overall, he has $402,000 in cash on hand.
Lagging in the money hunt are Kevin McAllister, who has raised $2,100 in the first three months and Angel Taveras, who has not announced his fundraising total.
