Giuliani Plans Arkansas Fundraiser (posted June 21, 1999)

In a move designed to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play, New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani has scheduled a fundraiser next month in Little Rock, Arkansas. Giuliani has devoted considerable time over the past few months complaining that probable New York Senate candidate Hillary Clinton is a carpetbagger who does not belong in the race.

Now, he is hitting up the Clintons' home turf for his own electoral purposes. Giuliani expects the fundraiser to be quite successful. According to the Washington Post, quoting an Arkansas Republican director, "There are some people here who would give money to anyone who ran against Hillary Clinton."
