Watch Out for York in U.S. Senate Primary (posted September 20, 1999)

Democrats should keep an eye out for former gubernatorial candidate Myrth York in the 2000 Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Rhode Island. Two recent private polls within the state show her with a narrow lead over Congressman Robert Weygand, with former Lieutenant Governor Richard Licht trailing in third place. Look for an announcement from York about her campaign intentions sometime in the next few weeks.
