4 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2002 -- Andrew Cuomo, former secretary of HUD and candidate for governor of New York will speak on "Making Government Work for People" The lecture will be held in Salomon Center, Room 101. It is free and open to the public. (Noah Krieger '93 Memorial Lecture)
4 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2002 -- Chris Matthews, host of the MSNBC show "Hardball" will speak on "Now Let Me Tell You What I Really Think". The lecture will be held in Salomon Center, Room 001 on the Campus Green. It is free and open to the public. (John Hazen White Lecture)
7:30 p.m., April 4, 2002 -- Congressman Charles Norwood will speak on "The Health Care Revolution" as part of the conference on Health Care in an Aging Society in Sayles Hall on the Campus Green. It is free and open to the public.
Directions to Brown University:
(from 95 North or South) Take Exit 22 for Downtown Providence onto Memorial Boulevard. Go through three stoplights. At the fourth light, turn LEFT onto WATERMAN Street. Go up the hill through three lights. After passing the intersection with PROSPECT STREET, look for on-street parking. The Salomon Center is through the Faunce Arch (located at the corner of BROWN and WATERMAN Streets). It is the first building on the left on the CAMPUS GREEN.
(from 195 West) Take Exit 3 and turn RIGHT onto GANO Street. Turn LEFT at the 3rd light onto ANGELL Street (one-way to the left). Turn LEFT onto BROWN Street. After one block, turn LEFT onto WATERMAN Street (which is one-way in that direction) and look for on-street parking. The Salomon Center is through the Faunce Arch (located at the corner of BROWN and WATERMAN Streets). It is the first building on the left on the CAMPUS GREEN.
